chillingham problem

Hi all. My parents brought me chillingham as a birthday present. my question is this. When the game loads, i press right arrow and hear "which player are you?" then nothing happens, no matter what key I press. What can I do to continue?

Hi, Blake


You should have at least one choice, "New Player". Does you game lock up? I got Chillingham for Xmas; can play it for a while, then, it locks, and must be killed in the task manager. FYI, Blake, you have to turn your screen reader off before starting the game.

yep turning the screne reader off is the issue it sounds like here. :)

Blake: What was your fix? I just learned of a "compatibility" tab on the propert sheat for "chillingham.exe". When I reinstall, I'll look for this. If I find it, I'll make sure that Windows 2000 compatibility is enabled. Am using Win 2K Professional.

If it isn't the screen reader that is locking up Chillingham, then it must be a problem with DirectEx. By the way, there is a new version. Just go to microsoft.com
